Ali Fowle is a broadcast journalist and documentary filmmaker based in South-East Asia.
Ali Fowle is an award-winning documentary producer and professional broadcast journalist with over ten years experience working in news and current affairs.

Originally from Edinburgh, Ali graduated from City University, London in 2009 with a Masters in Television and Current Affairs Journalism. Since then she has lived and worked in Southeast Asia gaining a wealth of experience in the region. Her work has taken her from major political events in city streets and seats of power to the seemingly inaccessible jungle front-lines of Southeast Asia’s troubled border regions.

Passionate about investigative and in-depth journalism, Ali has has produced films for several major international news channels including BBC, CNN, Channel News Asia, Al-Jazeera and SBS and has directed award-winning documentaries that have been broadcast around the world.

Currently based in Myanmar, Ali works regularly but non-exclusively for the BBC. As a self-shooting producer/director and experienced video journalist she accepts work from the research and development stages through to production, filming and editing.
